Wilson Auto Repair Gives Back by Donating to Caldwell Elementary School
“While earning your daily bread, be sure you share a slice with those less fortunate.”
“At the end of the day it’s not about what you have or even what you’ve accomplished… it’s about who you’ve lifted up, who you’ve made better. It’s about what you’ve given back.”
“We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.”
It is sayings like these that help us to express how important it is to everyone at Wilson Auto Repair to give back to our communities and our country.
There is an elementary school on Saturn Road called Caldwell Elementary. Like many schools across our nation, there are children that are not getting the necessities they need to get a proper education.
At Christmastime, we reached out to the school and asked them what kind of donation might go to good use for the kids. The school counselor we got in contact with recommended uniforms and/or coats, since the students must wear uniforms to attend school. Wilson Auto Repair proceeded to order $500 worth of collared shirts, slacks and coats for the children.
Earlier this month, we asked what else the students might need, and their wish list included children’s underwear and dry erase markers. So, another distribution of donations was delivered promptly to Caldwell Elementary.
We can’t think of many other ways to help the future of Garland than to help our children get a great education without having the struggle of acquiring the basics and beyond.
If there are any of our readers who might be interested in joining us to support Caldwell Elementary, we would be happy to keep posting their wish lists and Megan Tichenor’s (the school counselor) phone number to join us in giving back generously to those in need in our community.
Please give us a call at (972) 271-3579 or reach out to Caldwell Elementary directly at 972-926-2500 or email their counselor, Meaghan Tichener, via email email@example.com. firstname.lastname@example.org
Our hopes are that we can help inspire others to give back to their communities and help build a better future for everyone. Not just the students at Caldwell, but for every child in every school across our amazing country.
We’ve included a couple precious photos sent to us (with parent’s consent) from the counselor.
