The Most Reliable Classic Cars and Trucks

We ran across an article on Yahoo Finance that we wanted to share with Wilson Classic Car Blog readers. The article was about the 25 most reliable classic cars and we take exception to the list.

Our big problem with the Yahoo list of most reliable classic cars is that many of them most people don’t consider as classics. Toyota’s Corolla and Camry both made the Yahoo list, although neither would be considered as “classics.” Same thing with the Ford F-150, Honda Accord and the Volkswagen Beetle. They may be nice reliable vehicles, but they’re hardly considered classics.

We did agree with vehicles such as the Ford Mustang, Jeep Cherokee, Chevy Impala SS and the Plymouth Valiant are personal favorites.

Three that didn’t make the list but should have: Ford Broncos, Jeep M-Series and Jeep CJ.

And here is the complete list of most reliable classic cars, according to Yahoo Finance:

  • Ford Mustang
  • BMW 2002
  • Citroen 2CV
  • Saab 900
  • Volkswagen Bus
  • Volvo 1966 P1800
