From coast to coast, cities across the nation played host to some of the greatest hot rod and custom classic car shows in the world. The Goodguys Rod & Custom Association was on tour and produced 20 amazing automotive events.
Once again, the season ended with the final stop in Scottsdale for the 20th Southwest Nationals. We were lucky enough to attend and capture some amazing photos of the magnificent muscle machines and hopped up hot rods. We also shared some of the “Best of Show” award winners that were there. Here is the complete list of all the winners from the 2017 tour.
Next year’s schedule has 19 events in total and will cross this mighty country of ours once again. 2018 will be another special year as they celebrate some milestone anniversaries. Some of the special anniversary events include the Goodguys 25th Summer Get-Together in Pleasanton, CA and the Goodguys 25th Southeastern Nationals in Concord, NC.
Goodguys will make their first appearance at the Goodguys 1st Kentucky Nationals in Lexington, Kentucky. This show should be a welcomed event for the Lexington community and Goodguys hopes to make it an everlasting annual event.
Most years, the tour begins and ends in Scottsdale, AZ, but this year is a little different. The Goodguys 8th Spring Lone Star Nationals will kick off the season at the Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth.
In addition to the featured hot rods, customs, classics, muscle cars and trucks that will be on display, each event in 2018 will also feature the annual swap meets where you can pick up everything from automobile memorabilia, rare parts and even entire vehicles for sale.
Many of the events will also delight the crowds with autocross competitions and a few shows will have Friday night drag races.
