First Generation Ford Bronco Frame Off Restoration at Wilson Auto Repair

If you have ever followed the repairs and restorations that happen here at Wilson Auto Repair, you would know that we love, love, love restoring Ford Broncos!  We take great pride in bringing them back to their original glory.

We have had one here that we have been working on for some time now and it is coming along nicely.  We thought we would share some pictures of this frame off restoration so you can see the amount of work that goes into a restoration like this.

Here is what it looked like the day it arrived.  You can see we have our work cut out for us.

We fabricated custom fender flares to give it a more wide-body look.

With the frame off, we cleaned it up and gave it a coat of epoxy.

We also had some bodywork to do and floor repairs. You can see we had to do some custom work to get the transmission to fit correctly.

We also installed a lift kit.

With the bodywork complete and the primer coat laid down, we started the painting process.  We also sprayed in bedliner in the interior.

We are getting pretty close to done, but not before we give this Ford Bronco a custom dash and install a custom wood floor in the back.

Be sure to check back often to see the final outcome on this Bronco and may other classic car and truck repairs and restorations that happen here at Wilson Auto Repair.
