Collector Car Appreciation Day to Be Celebrated July 9, 2021

The SEMA Action Network (SAN) announced that the latest Collector Car Appreciation Day (CCAD) will be officially celebrated on July 9, 2021.

This will make the 12th time this day has been celebrated as an annual event.  The purpose of the commemorated day is to raise awareness of the essential role automotive restoration and collection plays in American society.

With mask mandates being lifted around the country, people are beginning to attend classic car events again at full capacity.  Goodguys car shows, Mecum Collector Car Auctions and other large classic car events are back in full swing.

Enthusiasts should mark their calendars for July 9, 2021 for Collector Car Appreciation Day.  You might want to decide how you will be celebrating this important day, especially if you are an owner of a collector classic.

Many automotive-based companies are having sales and we expect to see a lot of people out cruising their cars & trucks.   Here is a list of events happening around the country that Friday and throughout the weekend.

A wide range of automotive events are held on the second Friday in July to honor Collector Car Appreciation Day (CCAD). At the request of the SEMA Action Network (SAN), this national holiday has been marked each year since 2010 by a U.S. Congressional Resolution recognizing that the “collection and restoration of historic and classic cars is an important part of preserving the technological achievements and cultural heritage of the United States.”

As this annual event continues to grow worldwide, states, provinces, counties and cities are following suit with their own recognition. The SAN encourages participation throughout the month of July to honor the classics of the past and the future.

Events ranging from informal garage gatherings and barbeques to highly organized events, like car cruises and parades, will be held in support of this annual celebration.  It is all about supporting the collector car industry so get out there and take part in an important event.  If you have an event you want to see added to the list, you can submit it here.

BY participating in these events, you are helping to preserve history.  It is especially important to help preserve these historical vehicles for future generations to enjoy.  We hope that Friday July 9th is a big success for the collector car industry and for enthusiasts alike.
