It has been a long time since we have been to a classic car show and we are beyond excited to hear they are back! The pandemic certainly put a damper on everyone’s plans and way of life. Things are slowly starting to get back to “normal” and lots of events including classic car shows are back on the calendar.
There have already been a few car shows, auctions other automotive events in the past couple months, but it seems that the majority of shows that were cancelled last year are now joining this year’s lineup.
For starters, the long-awaited Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance is starting today and running through the entire weekend. Thousands are expected to be in attendance which will bring some much needed tourism revenue to Amelia Island coastal community.
Goodguys, one of the best classic car show tours in America, has already begun touring the states with events coast to coast. Their first show of the season, the 11th LMC Truck Spring Lone Star Nationals, was held at the Texas Motor Speedway near Fort Worth, Texas March 12-14, 2021.
The next stop is also this weekend at the highly anticipated Goodguys 2nd RaceDeck Salt Lake Nationals being held May 21 to May 23, 2021 at the Utah State Fairpark in Salt Lake City, Utah. If you missed the Goodguys’ season opener here in Texas, do not worry. They have another even planned back at Texas Motor Speedway June 4-6, 2021. It is the 1st Meguiar’s All Star Get-Together featuring the Ultimate Truck Marketplace, presented by Total Truck Centers.
Can’t make that event either? No worries! They will have yet another show September 24-26, 2021 yet again at the Texas Motor Speedway. It will be the 28th Summit Racing Lone Star Nationals and that will make the last Goodguys show of 2021 in Texas. There is a long lineup of Goodguys shows from coast to coast this year, so find one hear you and get out and enjoy come classic car and truck eye candy!
Other notable classic car shows that are back for 2021 are the Woodward Dream Cruise in Detroit, Michigan on August 21,2021 and in the beginning of August, Hot August Nights in Reno, Nevada will be back in full swing with a week-long line of events.
If you are in the Midwest, be sure to travel to Iola, Wisconsin for the Iola Car show July 8-10, 2021. It is a weekend full of awesome classics, music, food, camping and fun for the whole family.
