1956 Chevy Gets a New Set of Custom Painted Wheels at Wilson Auto
A customer bought these wheels and wanted them painted to match his 1956 Chevy that you can see in the picture. What might sound like a simple paint job is actually quite labor intensive and takes a tremendous amount of skill to get the color correct and the paint sprayed on just right.
Have a look at the pictures of the process that took about 14 hours to complete. This first pic shows the wheels as they arrived at the shop.
We are pointing to the sections that need to be painted to match the Chevy.
The next step is to carefully and precisely tape off all four wheels and get them prepped for paint.
Then the wheels made their way into the paint booth where they are sprayed to match the car.
We think the final product looks excellent. We are very proud of the work we did, and the customer is elated to have the custom wheels he always dreamed of.
