New Classic Car Dealership Coming to Corpus Christi, Texas

There is a new dealership rumored to be opening in Corpus Christi that will be nothing like any other in town. One big difference is that it will be located out by Interstate 37 instead of being lumped in with the rest of the dealerships that dot South Padre Island Drive.

This new dealership, Moreno Motor Company, is going to be housed inside a $50,000 metal building at 814 Corn Products Road. The other major difference, besides that it is completely indoors, is they will only be selling high-end classic cars and trucks.

You aren’t going to see new and lightly used Toyotas, Hondas or Nissans at this place. John Edward Moreno is the new owner and he intends on attracting a different kind of automotive customer… the collector enthusiast. “I’m going to be targeting the collector community,” Moreno said. “All the cars will be kept inside to preserve their condition. A lot of them are six-figure vehicles.”

Moreno was previously an owner-operator at an auto body shop for over a decade. John spoke about the inspiration for the new classic car dealership by saying this, “To recuperate costs and keep my employees paid, I would buy and sell cars on the side and that ended up being more profitable than the body shop business,” Moreno continued with. “So I started thinking we should do something different.”

If all goes well, Moreno Motor Company should open their doors sometime in January 2018. They already have a heavy lineup of 30+ cars (even though John is a Corvette enthusiast himself). The line-up includes classics like a 1979 Corvette, a 1972 Camaro and “all sorts of Mustangs from brand new to the 1960s,” Moreno said.

We will be looking forward to keeping up to date with the progress of this new classic car dealership in Texas. Looking forward to cruising their inventory this winter.
