1964 Lincoln Continental

How do you fix the vacuum system on a 1964 Lincoln Continental Air Conditioning and Heating System?

With lots of patience. Big challenges include just getting under the dash to find the lines, tracing the lines from under the hood to the vacuum control valve and then testing a 46 year old Lincoln Air Conditioning System.

We fixed one the blend air valve, rerouted all the vauum lines, tested the vacuum actuators and the system worked.

Next we had to install a new Air Conditioning Compressor, and we spent 1/2 day unstopping the system and cleaning rust. With a New Air Conditioning Expansion Valve the Air Condtioning blew cold air.  Still more to this story. The next day even though we held a vacuum on the AC System we had a leak. The Drier was leaking. We replaced the drier and then the radiator fan clutch and for now it is all working.
