1959 El Camino

Installed Air Conditioning, heavy duty aluminum radiator,electric fans, and a high flow water pump.

This car has a 348 cubic inch engine with 3 Dueces. That means three carburetors. Carburetors were rebuilt, installed a MSD Distributor.

The brakes front and rear were replaced

We installed an alternator and power steering pump. This was a custom installation as we had to make new brackets that would mount to the 348 Chevy Engine. Both parts were install.  Originally the power steering pump and the generator were made as one unit. To install an alternator we had to mount it where the generator was originally installed and then fabricate brackets for the power steering pump. We needed more electrical output as the old generator would not carry the load of the  newly installed Air Conditioning System and the  new electric fans on the radiator. .

Lots of other work to this truck and it runs great.

A new air condtioning system from Vintage Air was purchased and installed. Compressor brackets mounted to the 348 chevy engine along with a new AC condensor and lines.

Under the dash and inside the car a new evaporation box with updated controls were installed with new air registers.

Although the factory wiring harnesses were in place, many of the electrical components did not work.

The gas gage, back up lights, much of the under body wiring and the ignition switch all needed rewiring.

Once started the water pump developed a leak.

The waer pump was replaced and a new aluminum radiator was installed.
