Floor Pan Installation

Most Classic Cars and Trucks have rust. Floor pans are a common area for rust because the car leaks water that settles on the floor and remains damp under the carpet.

Our approach for fixing this problem is to remove the old floor pan by drilling out the spot welds and installing a new pan. We plug weld the new floor pan to the car and butt weld to the adjoining surface. Then we grind down the welds so that the installation is seamless.

Repairs of this nature can include and entire floor pan, or a partial in certain areas. In some instances we are not able to buy new preformed metal. In that case we fabricate the metal needed to fit the affected area.

These pictures show the process of installing floor pans.

It is worth mentioning that once this process is started it is very common to uncover more rusted areas. Be aware that estimates change as we fix your car because of these discoveries.
